A statement from the Outer Banks Restaurant Association:
At the monthly meeting of the Outer Banks Restaurant Association (OBRA) on March 10, OBRA membership voted unanimously to cancel the THREE CORNERSTONE events at The SOUNDSIDE EVENT SITE in Nags Head that are part of Taste Of The Beach. The three events include Flashback Friday on March 27, the BBQ & Wing Showdown on Saturday March 28, and the Grand Tasting & Bartender’s Bubbly Bash on Sunday March 29.
The decision was made in consultation with the Outer Banks Visitor’s Bureau, sponsor for the event, and primarily based on the uncertainty of adequate attendance to cover the costs associated with hosting events at The Soundside. Refunds will be provided for those ticket purchases for only those cancelled Soundside events.
But there’s still plenty of Food, Drink, Fun to be had! The remaining forty plus Taste Of The Beach events hosted by individual restaurant members will take place as scheduled. All the event info and tickets can all be found at www.obxtasteofthebeach.com
