Outer Banks Homebuilders’ Parade of Homes is back Oct. 10-13

The Outer Banks Home Builders Association’s 27th annual Parade of Homes returns Oct. 10-13.

Held over Columbus Day weekend, this year’s parade opens on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. and homes remain open 10 a.m. to 6. p.m. each day except Sunday, Oct. 13, when the hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

You will have the opportunity to see not only the select properties, but to experience the distinctly different vibes of different towns and enclaves. The tour usually covers about 40 miles of our exquisite coastline, and aptly provides an introduction to the natural surroundings, as well as the creative and capable craftsmen who live on this outer strip of land.

As you tour, should you also be seeking a builder, subcontractor or materials vendor, there exists no better opportunity than this to see them and their products up close and personal. And for our local builders, subcontractors and vendors, the parade is an introduction to the wider community of current homeowners, investors, and future owners that visit our unique Outer Banks each year.

Building in our climate requires a blend of building science and hard-wrought experience. Our builders know the products to use and possess the skill to employ those products in an energy-efficient, weather-tight manner, while blending them with the aesthetic desires of their clients. Please feel free to speak to them, as they will eagerly share their expertise in answering your questions.

Tickets will be available at $10 each from any of the featured homes and at some sponsor locations. With the ticket purchase, you receive a copy of the Parade of Homes magazine that details the locations and provides descriptions of the homes and builders.

We offer this same information on our website www.obhomebuilders.org, so right now you will be able to take a sneak peek at the 2019 Parade of Homes in advance of your arrival.
