Rita Lee Gray, age 85, of Aberdeen, Maryland passed away on September 29, 2019, at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air.
Born in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of Albert Lee Sklar and Sara (Blumberg) Sklar and wife of the late Gaither Odell Gray.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church where she was involved in Vacation Bible School, children’s ministry, and singing in the choir. She loved to read the Bible and enjoyed helping people as well as witnessing to them about the Lord. In her younger years, she enjoyed crocheting, baking, and playing card games.
Mrs. Gray is survived by two sons, Allen Gray (Diana) of Aberdeen, MD, Robert Gray (Cindy) of Belle Haven, VA; daughter, Jeannie Perry (Ron) of Hertford, NC; sister, Betty Colona of Glen Burnie; brother, Paul Sklar of Ft. Meade, MD; grandchildren, Angela DeBosky, Christina Willasch, Erica Caldwell, Brandy Wagner, Tonya Cuff and Robbie Gray; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Rowan and Chloe Stoker, Madi Willasch, Kirsten Estelle, Maddox, Caden and Liam DeBosky, Kristopher and Cara Nelson, Brittany, Kelsie and Michael Gray, Camden and Jaise Carroll, Legend Wagner, and Jacob Cuff; and great-great-grandchildren, Hudson and Ryleigh Page Estelle.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Bel Air, MD.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery, Stumpy Point, NC.
