Pamela Sue Wise Creef, 72, of Stumpy Point, NC died Saturday, November 23, 2019, at her home.
Born in Durham, NC on April 5, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Mabel Shelton and Harold Wise and Irene Best.
Pam had an unconditional love for Jesus and her family, especially her grandchildren, who often looked to her for her wisdom. She was also a second mother to many Dare County children. She was caring, kind, and selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting.
Pamela is survived by two sons, Harold L. Wise (Sarah) and Wes Creef (Nikki); six grandchildren, Carson M. Creef, Averi D. Creef, Emerson T. Creef, Lilly D. Creef, Ruth Dubrowski (Matt), and Stephen Stetson (Katelyn); one great-grandson, Declan; her siblings, Buddy Shelton, Bobbie Best Cook (Mark) of Apex; William Dean Best (Jackie) of Walnut Cove; Joseph Parker Best (Alyson) of Greensboro; Hudson Best of Wilmington; Mary Best (widow of James Milton Ellington) of Greensboro; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sanders Creef; her daughter, Wendi; and siblings, Cindy.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 29, 2019, at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
