Survivors include his wife, Leslie P. Benefiel.
A gathering will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Shutters on the Banks, 402 S. Virginia Dare Trail, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
