Kaley Jean Gallop, age 20, of Wanchese, NC died Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at her home. She was born on December 28, 1998.

A 2017 graduate of Manteo High School, she was a proud Redskins cheerleader and softball player. Kaley was elected to represent her freshman class for homecoming in 2014.

After graduation, she worked as a waitress at Big Al’s Soda Fountain & Grill. Currently, she was employed as a waitress at Outback Steakhouse where everyone she worked with loved her dearly and she loved them as well.

Kaley loved the beach, going out in the boat with her daddy, and hunting and turkey shooting. She was an avid country and rap music fan.

A heart of gold and a smile that could light up any room, Kaley greatly loved her family and friends. She encouraged those around her and would help anyone in need.

Kaley is survived by her parents, Robin Marie Whitt (Paul Bliven) of Manteo and Ferrell E. “Bud” Gallop (Windy Scarborough) of Wanchese; two sisters, Whitney Marie Gallop of Wanchese, and Casey Gallop Stowe (Spurgeon “Brook”) of Wanchese; and Windy’s daughters, Samantha Allen of Colington, and Cheyanne Gaskins of Avon. Also, surviving are her maternal grandparents, Larry and Della Whitt of Burlington, NC; nieces and nephew, Cam, Kaylin, Addie, Ev; aunts, Pam (John), Tammy, and Teresa; uncles, Jeff (Lisa) and Jay (Laura); and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parental grandparents, Gene and Janice Gallop.

A funeral and celebration of Kaley’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Wanchese Assembly of God. The family will receive friends and relatives for a viewing and visitation on Friday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 pm at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo. Burial will take place at Cudworth Cemetery.
